The Interdisciplinary Studies program, offered through UC's College of Arts and Sciences, gives you the opportunity to customize your own major program.

UC program offers five-year path to Cosmetic Science master's

Through the program, students begin taking graduate-level courses during their undergraduate years. The first of these courses, Survey to Cosmetic Science, offers a more in-depth look at the field and career opportunities. Additional courses include Intro to Co-op; Intro to Surface, Colloid and Membrane Science and Lab; Advanced Surface, Colloid and Formulation Science; and a co-op set up for year three of the program.

When Kelsey Conway came to visit the University of Cincinnati before her freshman year, she had no clue that she would be returning to the same city seven years after her graduation to work for The Cincinnati Enquirer and to break ground as the first female lead reporter for the Bengals. “The fact that I am now back in the same city where it all started for me essentially in my journey to being a sports reporter is just incredible on so many levels,” Conway said.

Students create virtual walking tour of UC's Black history

Step back into Black history at the University of Cincinnati with the help of a new tour created by students in the College of Arts and Sciences. The interactive tour guides participants through numerous stops where they learn more about prominent figures, from Jennie Davis Porter, who in 1928 became the first Black woman to earn a PhD at UC, to Sinna Habteslassie, the first Black woman elected to student body president in 2018.
